In 2016 I opened my first childcare center in New York City. A 2,500 sqft rental space located on top of a church. Initially licensed for a max capacity of 37 children, within the second year we managed to expand into an 7,000 sqft childcare center with a 67 child capacity!

As we were growing, I realized there was no tax expert in the childcare field and wanted to help! I enrolled in tax school, completed all of the modules and received my certificate. Although, I am skillful in any business pertaining to taxes, I directed my niche to my PASSION, the childcare field.

I started my center with just an early childhood education background and transformed my vision into a six-figure business. My goal is to empower my fellow childcare leaders with the necessary tools to scale their business through business credit and funding.

Growing up, I always had an interest and love for mathematics, but never knew the financial service realm is where I'd end up. At 17 my very first job was a receptionist at a tax office in Durham, NC while in High School. I later moved to New York and shortly after began working at a non-profit, Ariva.

At Ariva I started out as a tax preparer and was swiftly promoted to quality review and site manager within my five years with the company. In 2019 I opened my own tax office, named after the late Trevor N. Coombs Jr, TNC Financials.

I was able to leverage my love for math and helping people into a profitable virtual company. The more I learned about tax and the more returns I did, it opened my eyes that many people were unaware of the credits and deductions they could take, especially in the childcare field. I partnered with Nekea and thus became a Co-Founder of The Childcare Tax Pros.
